20/20 Book Three: 20 More Convictions In 20 Days – Dr. Tim Kernan

Greetings SoldOut Movement Family!

It is with great anticipation and excitement that we announce the release of Dr. Tim Kernan’s most recent book: 20/20 Book Three: 20 More Convictions In 20 Days For Everyone Who Wants To Get Stronger And Be Empowered.

Dr. Kernan starts off Book Three with a bang:

“Afflicted in every way….” (2 Corinthians 4:8-12 English Standard Version) Not exactly the first thing one thinks of when considering the life of a Christian. Yet God is the master of strengthening us and maturing us. He wants to make us more capable and make us more like Christ through difficulty. Indeed, there is no other way to do it. Think about that for a second: There is no other way to do it!

As you can see, this book is a power-packed toolkit for personal transformation! The more you read, the more the truth of God’s Word will strengthen you. Tim’s scriptural insights and vivid analogies energize your walk with God and motivate godly decisions empowered by prompted prayers to overcome specific battles.

Tim is a master at spiritual hand-to-hand combat, and this book will train you to win the battle of the mind that Satan wages against every one of us! I appreciate Tim’s candor, as part way through the book, he helped me identify a struggle I didn’t even realize I HAD – not to mention that I was not winning in my spiritual perspective as a Christian husband – and that led to a monumental decision in my life to ”not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of [my] mind.” (Romans 12:2 ESV) If you want to be transformed, you have to read this book! There is no other way to do it!

Lastly, the logical way Dr. Kernan presented the 10 struggles we can surely overcome by God’s empowerment in Part 1, and the 10 areas in which we can truly be strengthened by God’s Word in Part 2 will help to sharpen, heal, and open all of our EYES so we can attain and maintain spiritual 20/20 vision!

Happy reading, family!

The House to House Effect: Reviving Christian Households In This Generation – Dr. John A Causey III

Denver International Christian Church

“The Christian household is not just a place to eat, sleep, and watch TV, but a place to worship, serve, and grow together as disciples of Jesus Christ. It’s not just a private refuge from the world, but a public witness to the world. It’s not just a family unit, but a mission outpost.” – Dr. John A Causey III

Our world needs a refuge – safe from all the pressures of comparison, political polarization, pushiness of technology, and personal identity and confidence issues that can steal the joy and power from even the strongest amongst us. True Christians know that this kind of protection can only be fully provided in God’s Kingdom, but how to hold firmly to such a powerful hope is oftentimes elusive. Thankfully, Dr. John Causey has written a book highlighting God’s ancient way for us to build this exact refuge! The House To House Effect takes the reader on a joyous journey through God’s Word from the Old to the New Testament and up through the present day, revealing the majesty and miracle of the godly household. Causey also shares many practical stories from his own life and the ministries that he and his lovely wife Emma have built for over 40 years that inspire the reader that it is quite possible to live out that old hymn “I’m Building Me a Home”!

The Hebrew writer knew that not only was God not far from each disciple but that He also built His house on the foundation of Jesus Christ and wanted this truth to be lived out and passed along from home to home:

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest. He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house. Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself. For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. “Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house,” bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future. But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory. (Hebrews 3:1-6)

Dr. Causey quotes this amazing passage in the second chapter: “Jesus is the leader of God’s Household, and we live by the standard and hope He has set! He modeled the ‘household way’ by developing and maintaining the spiritual family.” This book is the quintessential blueprint of Jesus’ ministry that will focus and equip the leaders of the church at every level on the essentials of how to live out the gospel in this spiritual, household way. I personally believe this book will have a profound spiritual impact on disciples young and old and will help people appreciate God’s household; this gratitude will have a fortifying impact on all disciples who “go home” not just to take a break with their physical families during the holidays, but now much more powerfully to bring the light of the gospel into their households! What a gift God has given us in His grace and in the Causeys’ spiritual leadership; and now, by reading this book during these critical times, let each of us be inspired to say, “and His grace to me was not without [a house to house] effect!” (1 Corinthians 15:10)

The Law And The Sabbath – Kyle Bartholomew

Denver International Christian Church

The Law of Moses and its Fourth Commandment have been a source of controversy from the time of Jesus up until our present day. There are still various sects that rigorously adhere to aspects of both the Law and the Sabbath, and as a result have confused and misled many that they have encountered. In “The Law And The Sabbath,” Kyle Bartholomew presents a brief, yet clear and objective study of both topics that will enable the average Bible reader to develop a deep understanding of the Scriptures and unvail God’s plan for a New Covenant under Christ.

COPS – Company Of Prophets: A Church Builders Field Manual – Dr. Jason Dimitry

Denver International Christian Church

“The company of prophets is not just a group of gifted individuals, but a community of disciples who are committed to the mission of Jesus Christ. It’s not just a platform for personal expression, but a team effort for corporate edification. It’s not just about spiritual gifts, but about spiritual fruit. It’s not just about prophesying, but about living a prophetic lifestyle.”

This is a book for church and ministry builders. The method of Jesus’ ministry was men. He walked with them, talked with them, demonstrated effective ministry and then called them to imitate. Most ministers have heard of the term “focus on a few”. However, very few have cracked the code on how to powerfully apply this Jesus principle. Jesus spend his three years of public ministry merely loving and counseling those around him. His long term plan to evangelize the nations in his generation was to raise up a Company Of Prophets that he called – The Apostles! This book seeks to help the minister in this all important task! It is a step by step “field manual” hoping to aid the ministry leader to build a infrastructure of powerful leaders which will in turn allow him to have an impact far beyond himself. This was Jesus’ game plan to win the world in the first century and it needs to be ours in the twenty first century!

Didache: Fulfilling The Great Commission By Training Disciples To Know The Doctrines Of The Faith – Dr. Tim Kernan

Denver International Christian Church

Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. (1 Timothy 4:16)

Paul expected Timothy, and therefore all leaders, to know their doctrine and keep their lives in line with it so that they could be men and women grounded in the truth. Satan would like nothing better than to lead us astray through falsehood and deception. Yes, disciples and leaders need to know their doctrine! It is not simply important but essential. We must be able to understand it, teach it, and lovingly refute false doctrine. Without sound doctrine, nothing can go well in the ministry. After all, the word “sound” in Greek is also translated as “healthy.” Therefore, without sound doctrine, we will create “unhealthy churches.”

This study guide, Didachē, which means “doctrine” or “teaching” in Greek, will help augment basic ministry training by teaching vital Christian doctrines, thus rounding out the incredible leaders God is raising up in this generation! Strength and courage come from character, which comes from a relationship with God, but the truth comes from the Scriptures this is what we call “doctrine.” God has always wanted his leaders to be grounded in the truth to lead successfully. This study guide will give you a great start!

DOKIMĒ: Building Great Leaders By Building Great Character – Dr. Tim Kernan

“And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands he led them.” (Psalm 78:72)

“DOKIMĒ is a carefully crafted study series that will have a lasting impact on your character. Though these 12 studies are relatively brief, they are immensely compelling! In the introduction, Dr. Tim Kernan thoroughly highlights God’s desire to build Christian character into the lives of all disciples! After reading this book, I am convinced that this is a must-study for all who desire to be like Christ! The deep convictions on nobility, integrity, and fruits of the Spirit are undoubtedly essential for a robust relationship with God. As my dear friend Tim states, “Skill will take you far, but only character can keep you there.” In the studies ahead is the opportunity to become a man or a woman of dokimē. Enjoy it!” – Ricky Challinor – Southeast Asia Geographic Sector Leader

Dodeka: Fulfilling The Great Commission By Training Disciples To Be Fruitful And Effective Leaders – Dr. Tim Kernan

Denver International Christian Church

“Among Jesus’ final words to His disciples were, “Go and make disciples of all nations.” Anyone committed to this same “Great Commission” realizes that to achieve this mighty task, we must follow the very ways of the one who spoke those words. It is called “discipleship.” My dear friend Tim is simply one of the best teachers I know of in bringing Jesus’ methods to life. As you share each refreshing and challenging study in this book with those you are raising up, you will rapidly train your “Dodeka.” In essence, this insightful series of twelve studies will remind the reader of the principles behind Jesus’ first century plan for His followers to win a very lost world… It is the same plan for the twenty-first century!” – RD Baker – Middle East Missionary
